Insulate Steam Fittings and Valves - Install custom fabricated, removable, insulating blankets on existing exposed steam fittings and valves. Installation has been contracted for five buildings. The installation will save more than 900,000 BTU/hr or $100,000 annually.

The MERCI Program - MERCI stands for Medical Equipment Recovery of Clean Inventory. This program, which operates out of UVa’s Health Sciences Center, collects clean, unused medical supplies and outdated equipment that can still be used in other areas. The supplies are then shipped throughout the world. Since the program’s inception in 1992, we have collected and distributed much-needed medical supplies to Russia, Lithuania, Haiti, Honduras, and the local Free Clinic in Charlottesville.
